When do I apply for financial aid?
After you submit your admissions application you should then file your financial aid application. The admissions application fee of $150 is automatically waived for families applying for financial aid. Financial aid applications for the 2024-25 school year are available beginning September 18, 2023 and are due December 14, 2023.

How do I apply for financial aid?
Families applying for financial aid must complete an application with Clarity Financial, our third party application provider. Please note that you are able to share this application with any other school using Clarity; there are several in the Los Angeles area. A one-time application fee of $60 is required and collected by Clarity. Income-based fee waivers are available for those who qualify and Clarity will automatically apply those to your application. You will complete one application per household, even if applying for multiple children.

What documents are required for the financial aid application?
Two years of United States personal tax returns (Form 1040) are required for all applicants, and additional supporting documents may be requested. Business owners will be required to provide business tax documents. At this time we are unable to grant awards to non-U.S. tax filers.

Who needs to complete a financial aid application?
All parent(s)/guardian(s) must complete an application unless their whereabouts are unknown, they have no contact with the child, or other extenuating circumstances.

When will I receive a decision on my application?
Admitted families will receive their award notification on the same date as their acceptance to the School. For the 2024-25 school year, notifications will be sent on March 8, 2024.

I am not sure if I need financial aid, should I apply?
Yes. New families must apply while seeking admission to the School in order to be eligible for the Campbell Hall Financial Aid Program. Unless a significant change in financial circumstances can be documented, families may not apply once admitted or in subsequent years.

Does financial aid cover school fees and other expenses?
School fees in general are not covered by financial aid, however, the $2,000 new student fee is waived for those participating in the financial aid program. Additionally, there are many covered non-tuition expenses. Please refer to the Financial Aid Handbook for more information.

How do I know if I will qualify for aid?
While there are no set income guidelines that determine who will qualify, most families making less than $350,000 per year will likely qualify for an award.

    How is financial aid distributed?
Priority goes to older students since they need funds for a shorter period. Consideration is sometimes given to present Campbell Hall families who have an emergency or other unforeseen circumstance that can be documented.
