Argyll Academy

Created in 1963, Argyll Academy was formed as a prestigious all-girls high school on the Campbell Hall campus. In 1983, the high school transitioned to a co-ed K-12 school. Argyll will remain a significant part of the Campbell Hall journey and never be forgotten.

My mother wrote in my baby book that the first day of school (September 15, 1958) was such a proud and happy one for me. For weeks I had put on my school uniform to show everyone and said, "Don't you think people will think I am in junior high?" I was four years old and seven months.

To this day the thirteen years I spent as a student and the four years I spent teaching there were happy and proud for me. Campbell Hall and Argyll Academy were my solid foundation. When Mrs. Doris Welch asked me to mentor under her after graduating from University of Denver, I was honored. She was the best kindergarten teacher ever, hard shoes to fill.
