#CHTeacherTuesday

Michelle Sanchez, High School Biology Honors & Physiology
How long have you been a teacher?
7 years (joining Campbell Hall in the 2021-22 school year).

How is the Campbell Hall community unique?
One of the biggest things that attracted me to CH was the commitment and drive to better not just students but the entire CH community through initiatives like DEIJ work. It's really important to me that I make a positive impact in the community around me. I see and feel that same energy through my conversations and interactions with my colleagues. I am thrilled to be a part of an organization that cares about this type of work and recognizes the need to continually better ourselves and the world at large.

What drew you to teaching and/or your chosen field?
While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I worked in a children's hospital delivering prepared lessons to inpatient and outpatient children. I did that for almost two years. I really enjoyed working with kids but watching them struggle with health problems was really difficult for me. I knew I still wanted to work with kids and ultimately decided to pursue a career in education instead of healthcare.
