Pollyanna Conference

Naila Iscandari, Board of Directors’ President for Black Heritage Families, and her son Aliaun ’24 attended the 5th annual Pollyanna Conference titled, Reimagining Resiliency with Resolve.
The conference sought to address the question: “When resilience is examined through the lens of equity and inclusion, what new understandings can we gain about resilience?” More than 230 representatives from 19 schools attended the conference to “explore the expectations and biases that exist around resilience and reimagine what our communities would look like if we shift to instilling an unshakable resolve in addition to resilience.”
