Joe Sola

Joe began teaching in 1997 at Otis College of Art and Design. Prior to joining Campbell Hall in 2007, he taught at the ArtCenter College of Design for 7 years and the University of California, Irvine for one year. He received the prestigious Henry Clews Award, La Napoule France (2019). His exhibitions include: Not I, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (2020), In Production, Yuz Museum Shanghai (2019), Honor Fraser Gallery, Los Angeles, Solo Exhibition (2020), A Painted Horse, Tif Sigfrids, Los Angeles, Solo Exhibition (2015), Damage Control: Art and Destruction since 1950, Musée d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean, Luxembourg, Luxembourg City, traveling to Kunsthaus Graz, Graz, Austria (2014), Vancouver Biennial (2009-10), The Studio Sessions, San Francisco Museum of Art, San Francisco (2009), Gimme Shelter, Museo Rufino Tamayo, Mexico City, Mexico (screening, 2002), California Biennial, Orange County Museum of Art (2002). Joe holds a B.A in American Literature from the University of Michigan and M.F.A from Otis College of Art and Design.
