Jordan Cohen ’16

Turning a Basketball Dream into Reality
As a student at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, Jordan Cohen ’16 played on the school’s basketball team. The summer before his sophomore year of college, he was selected to be a member of the USA basketball team to compete in the Maccabiah Games (often referred to as the “Jewish Olympics”) in Israel. His team won the gold medal in their division. Jordan graduated with a major in Finance and a minor in Psychology in 2020 and now plays for Maccabi Ashdod in Israel. Jordan notes: “I’m extremely thankful that basketball has been able to offer me opportunities that not everyone gets. I am living my dream of playing professional basketball and getting paid to do something I love. Even with covid, which has definitely complicated things, living in a different country and experiencing a different culture has been incredible.”
