SoCal PoCIS Parent Voices

Over 100 parents and faculty from Los Angeles area independent schools attended the SoCal PoCIS Parent Voices event titled, "The Black@ Movement: We're Not Surprised, But We're Over Living With It. What Do Parents Need to Know?"
A panel of five Black parents who are also trustees, administrators, and educators in Los Angeles independent schools shared strategies for holding institutions accountable and pushing for needed changes. Participants also engaged in dialogue with parents and other community members to discuss how best to create a supportive and inclusive environment for our Black students.
