Soccer Opens Gold Coast League With Wins

Both Varsity Boys and Girls Soccer opened Gold Coast League with wins over Sierra Canyon.

Varsity Girls Soccer played an intense game with the Trailblazers, beating SC 2-1.  The Vikings led Sierra 1-0 for the majority of the game up until six minutes to go in the game when the Trailblazers tied it.  Senior Kara S. '20 (video #14) got a great ball up field, beat her defender, colided with the goalie but got past her and kicked in the winning goal with four minutes to go in the game!  The Vikings are now 1-0 in the Gold Coast League and 3-0 overall.

Varsity Boys Soccer also beat the Trailblazers, winning 1-0.  Jack Weinberger scored the Vikings only goal 18 minutes into the game.  The most impressive stat of the night, though, was the fact that SC did not get a single shot off the entire 80 minute game.  The Vikings are also 1-0 in the Gold Coast League and are 4-2 overall.

Great start Vikings Soccer!
