I have been teaching secondary education for 2 years. Before coming to Campbell Hall, I mentored and taught at the college level.
How long have you been teaching at Campbell Hall?
This is my second year at Campbell Hall.
What do you love most about teaching at Campbell Hall?
I really enjoy the Campbell Hall community as a whole. Teaching at a K-12 school allows me to interact with a diverse group of students and faculty. Yesterday, I went from building electromagnets with teenagers to engineering PVC furniture with elementary students.
What do you love to do outside of school/what are your hobbies?
After the school day is over, I love to take evening hikes with my family (husband + dog). On the weekends, I enjoy visiting nurseries and adding to my vast collection of orchids and succulents. I recently started exploring the art of cooking, which has been an adventure.
What is the most rewarding part of your CH day?
I love being in the classroom with my students. Seeing their smiles and feeling their energy makes the long nights of grading and planning worth it. Through their actions, I know I am giving them the confidence and skills to go on and do bigger and better things.
What drew you to teaching?
I was looking for a career that would make me truly happy. After exploring my options, I decided to give teaching a try. Now there is no turning back, I have found my purpose in life.
