Meet the Faculty

Dr. Valerie Jimenez

High School History
Valerie began teaching in 2010 at Northwestern University. Prior to joining Campbell Hall in 2020, she taught at Hampshire College and most recently worked as an Associate Producer on the popular historical documentary TV series Who Do You Think You Are?. Valerie graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Gender Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles, holds an M.A. in American Studies from the University of Massachusetts Boston as well as an M.A. and PhD in U.S. and Latin American History from Northwestern University. Valerie was awarded the Teagle Teaching Fellow at Northwestern University and the Five College Fellow at Hampshire College.
