Meet the Faculty

Amir Hasan Abdullah

Elementary School Lab Science
Amir began his educational career in 2000 at Aim High, a non-profit summer program for inner-city youth in San Francisco, where he taught for eleven summers. He then served in the Peace Corps in El Salvador for two years where he taught environmental education and educational theatre before returning to San Francisco to teach K-2 science at Spanish Infusión School. Amir then taught science at LEAP Science and Maths School in South Africa and later taught middle school science at Viewpoint School. He began working as a long-term substitute teacher for Campbell Hall in 2019 before becoming a permanent member of the faculty in 2020. Amir holds a B.S. Molecular Environmental Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. He was awarded the Teacher Training Fellowship for Teach With Africa in South Africa.
