Meet the Faculty

Yuriko Sakamoto

High School World Language, Japanese
Yuriko began teaching in 2004 at the University of Oregon. Prior to joining Campbell Hall in 2009, she taught Japanese at Windward for four years. Yuriko serves as a board member for the Teachers of Japanese in Southern California (TJSC) and the California Association of Japanese Language Teachers (CAJLT). She has also been a presenter at the California Association of Japanese Language Schools (CAJLS). She is the co-founder of a study group for Japanese teachers in Los Angeles. Yuriko holds a B.A. in English and American Literature with a minor in Japanese Pedagogy, as well as a teaching certificate from Baiko Jo Gakuen and received an M.Ed. and Teaching Credential from the University of Oregon.
