The Third Grade Helps Local Community
This year, the third grade is supporting The North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry for the Outreach Gift Fair.
The North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry has collected non-perishable food donations and other items like diapers, soap, and shampoo for the past twenty years. These donations come from numerous sources, including local temples, churches, and schools such as Campbell Hall. The donations are distributed, weekly by volunteers, to anyone in need. The Pantry serves over 4,500 hungry people each year. Recipients include homeless people, people temporarily without jobs and families and seniors whose incomes can’t stretch to cover both rent and food.
This year, in particular, families are struggling to find shelter and feed their children. A donation to help them cover their overhead expenses and purchase necessary bulk items will allow the Interfaith Food Pantry to continue to provide urgently needed services in our community.
