Jackie was nominated for the program by her English teacher at Vista Middle School. Jackie has always been a hard working student with dreams of being the first in her family to go to college. Her experience in Campbell Scholars taught her the importance of going outside of her comfort zone in order to grow. Jackie did just this when she decided to enroll at a medical magnet program outside of her neighborhood. In high school, Jackie was an active and outspoken member of the community, joining leadership and helping found an environmental action club. Last year, Jackie was admitted early to Whitman College in Washington with a generous financial aid package.
