Filming:
Introduce yourself! At the start of the video, state your first and last name, grade level and CH dance class (if applicable).
As best as possible, make sure your entire body from head to toes as well as full extension of the arms is framed fully and that you are clearly visible (not dancing in shadows).
Give yourself about 10 seconds of video before you start dancing and after.
For contemporary dance, you will film one combination (designated by your class level) learned from a tutorial video and one improvisation (for all levels). For ballet, you will film one to two videos designated by class level. If you are not currently in the curricular dance program as a ballet or contemporary student, you can choose to submit a video of whichever choreography you think best suits your current skill level. Further video instructions, tutorials, and guides for both disciplines can be found
HERE.
Be sure to label your videos with your first and last name and submit them to the
DROPBOX by 8pm on Friday, January 8th, 2021.
Pointe shoes:
Only perform the combinations if you dance en pointe and have a safe area to perform the combinations en pointe.
Extra footage:
You may submit extra footage if you wish to show anything else such as pirouettes, front and side splits, cartwheels or other acrobatic skills.
