#CHTeacherTuesday

Alex Canty, Middle School Physical Education, Girls’ Varsity Basketball Coach
How long have you been a teacher?
This is my first year teaching full time at CH but I have been a part of the athletic department for the last 11 years. I started off coaching JV boys basketball for 5 years and then I started coaching high school girls basketball. This will be my 6th year coaching the girls team and we get better every year.

What do you love most about teaching at Campbell Hall?
The thing I love most about Campbell Hall are the students. I get to meet and work with some amazing kids and I really enjoy that. The thing I look forward to the most everyday when I go to work is a new connection I will make with a student.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
If I could have one superpower it would be the ability to control metal. When I was a little kid I used to watch the cartoon show X-Men that came on Saturday mornings. My favorite character on the show was Magneto and he was able to do all sorts of things with metal. He used it to fly and to protect himself from danger. I felt like if I had that power I could protect myself, my friends and family.
