Team Drew

For over three decades, the Kempf family has been a cornerstone of our Campbell Hall community. Whether through Gretchen’s dedicated leadership, Drew’s constant presence and warmth, or Teddy ’19 and Molly ’16, their kindness, laughter, or support likely touched your time as a Viking.

For those who may not know, back in December 2024, Drew was diagnosed with CMML, a rare type of blood cancer. Drew underwent a bone marrow transplant in June of 2025 and spent the summer in the hospital and the school year at home receiving treatment at UCLA. This August, Drew learned he would need to undergo a second transplant and will begin treatment at City of Hope in October.

How You Can Help:

Submit a Video Message (100 Videos for 100 Days): Help keep Drew’s spirits high during his treatment! Our goal is to collect 100 videos for his 100 days in the hospital so he has a daily reminder of support from his Viking family. Upload a short clip sharing a favorite memory, words of encouragement, or a warm greeting.

Volunteer or Help Support the Drive:

If you’d like to take an active role in running our local recruitment campaign for Drew, we would love your help! Volunteers complete a brief online training through NMDP to learn how event drives work and help us distribute supplies. Email TeamDrewCH@gmail.com if you're interested in joining the team.
