Exploring the Groove
Recording Arts & Production Director and World Drumming teacher Jason Lee Bruns published his third article in Percussive Notes, the peer-reviewed, international journal of the Percussive Arts Society.
Titled “Implied Metric Modulation: A multiverse of groove,” the piece explores advanced rhythmic concepts involving the implication of alternate grooves and tempos within swing, shuffle, and Afro-Cuban drumming traditions. Click here to read the article.
