  • Bus Safety

Your child's safety is of paramount importance to both Campbell Hall and Student Transportation of America.

Please observe the following bus safety requirements:
    • All students must be under adult supervision at the bus stop. Once the student has boarded the bus, the driver is in charge.
    • Parents may not board the bus.
    • Students must follow the driver’s instructions at all times.
    • Students must stay seated and use seat belts at all times.
    • No open food containers or eating is allowed on the bus.  Water is permitted.
    • Ensure that your student knows the name of their bus stop, and the names of the adults who are allowed to pick them up from the bus stop.
    • Parents may never stop in the street to meet the bus or park illegally to drop off or pick up a student from the bus. Legally park and wait at the stop with, or for, your student.
    • In the case of a bus accident, parents will be notified by the bus company or Campbell Hall about appropriate safety measures. Per California State law, all accidents involving a school bus must be cleared by the CHP before proceeding as scheduled. Student Transportation of America has an excellent safety record and works collaboratively with the California Highway Patrol on all issues. Please review the Student Transportation of America Safety Guidelines that will be provided to you upon registration.

Carpool

Campbell Hall is committed to sustainability and strongly encourages carpooling practices. In addition to carpools arranged within our school community, Campbell Hall permits the use of safe and well-vetted ridesharing services geared towards transporting children and teens, such as HopSkipDrive.

Student Drivers

Juniors and seniors with a valid driver’s license may apply for a parking spot (rates apply for those who carpool with fewer than two passengers). Student drivers have a designated entrance and parking lot during morning hours.
Campbell Hall is a K-12 independent, Episcopal, gender-inclusive day school. We are a community of inquiry committed to academic excellence and to the nurturing of decent, loving, and responsible human beings.
