Tennis Pro Establishes Nonprofit
Melissa Nguyen ’00 has a passion for tennis that transcends the court. She recently served as a tennis consultant on the film Challengers, helping transform lead actress Zendaya into a powerhouse on the court. Melissa’s most meaningful work, however, has taken place off the court. In honor of her brother, who passed away at age 27, Melissa and her family founded ScootOver.org, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families and caregivers navigating the complexities of the mental health system. The organization also provides scholarships to teens across the region who actively prioritize their mental well-being and work to reduce stigma by courageously sharing their stories with peers. To learn more or get involved, please visit ScootOver.org.
