#CHTeacherTuesday

Greg Williams / HS Science + STEAM Coordinator

How long have you been a teacher?
9 years

How long have you been teaching at Campbell Hall?
6 years

What do you love most about teaching at Campbell Hall?
CH is such an incredible place! Our community is phenomenal and I get to work (and joke) with students and colleagues that are super inspirational and talented. I feel very lucky!

What do you love to do outside of school/what are your hobbies?

I grew up loving the outdoors (backpacking, fly fishing, skiing etc.) and playing sports—I played baseball through college. Nowadays my wife and I like going on family adventures with our kids (ages two and four). One of our favorites is going to the beach and building mermaid traps.

What is the most rewarding part of your CH day?
I love seeing students get excited during a fun demo or when a big project comes to fruition. I also really love saying hi, joking, and catching up with students between classes or at lunch.

What drew you to teaching?
I was working at Rawlings Sporting Goods (designing sports equipment) but wanted to move closer to family in Montana. There aren’t many sports engineering jobs in Montana, but they do have schools, so I thought I’d give teaching a try—sort of on a whim. I couldn’t be happier with how it worked out, and I’m grateful I eventually landed at CH. I get to share things I’m passionate about with amazing students which is so much fun! When I wake up each morning, I genuinely look forward to going to “work”.
