Alumna Professor of Art History Discussion with CH CHAI Art History Students

Dr. Cherise Smith '87, a professor of Art History at UT Austin, is completing her fellowship at The Getty Center, researching their collection of material on contemporary African American artists.
Ms. Shrage's CHAI Art History students met Cherise in March for a conversation about her current work at The Getty. Later, Cherise met with the students via Zoom to discuss their favorite works from the Black American Portraits exhibition they had just viewed on a field trip to LACMA.
