#CHTeacherTuesday

Katie Kline ’01, HS Photography & Photography Advanced / Visual Arts Department Chair
How long have you been a teacher?
16 years

How long have you been teaching at Campbell Hall?
7 years

What drew you to teaching?
I started teaching as a senior in college at NYU. While working with NYC public school teens, I realized how important access to art education is. Teaching darkroom photography reminds me every day how I fell in love with photography and why I am an artist. Students are always inspiring my own work.

How has Campbell Hall supported you as a teacher during the pandemic?
CH trusts its faculty to create curricula that best serves their students year to year. During the pandemic we invited professional visiting artists from all over the country to work remotely with our visual art students.
