Matthew Trebek ’09

Making a difference to men who need a second chance
Matthew Trebek ’09, in addition to owning and operating three restaurants in Harlem with his business partner Nodar Mosiashivili, has been providing meals for those living in poverty in the Harlem community for years through their nonprofit Lucille’s Family Meal. Through this work, he was introduced to The Doe Fund’s Ready, Willing & Able, which provides economic and work opportunities for men with long histories of incarceration, homelessness, and unemployment. Matthew decided to donate the suits worn by his father Alex Trebek on Jeopardy! to this worthy organization. Matthew notes that “What I really appreciate about The Doe Fund is that it gives people an opportunity for a new beginning…(It’s) something I knew my dad would be totally onboard with.”
