NAIS People of Color Conference

Campbell Hall was well represented at this year’s NAIS People of Color Conference (PoCC) with 22 members of our community in attendance including students, faculty, staff, and board members.

"Healing and hopeful experience that change will come!"
– Courtney Edwards, Elementary Administrative Coordinator

“I was so looking forward to PoCC and it did not disappoint. The conference was filled with tools and actionable next steps that we can use here at Campbell Hall. Very exciting!”
– Vanita Harbour, Admissions Associate & DEI Admissions Coordinator

“PoCC has been a remarkable experience of growth and a lesson in not only humility, but in justice for the human family. To attend PoCC with an open heart and mind is to hear the untold history of our country and be changed by it.”
– Jonny Rodgers, Director of Community Service and Outdoor Service Learning

“POCC is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who are invested in social justice work in independent schools. The speakers were exceptional and I came away with more ideas for how I can keep learning long after the conference is over.”
–Amanda Skubick, Fourth Grade Math and Science Teacher & Elementary School Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator

"It was great to connect with faculty and administration of color from independent schools across the country. The keynote speakers were powerful and the workshop sessions I attended were illuminating.”
– Steven Tolbert, High School Head Basketball Coach, Secondary Physical Education
