Sam Glicklich ’18
Pianist lends his talent to a global virtual choir
Sam Glicklich ’18, a student at the Colburn School in Los Angeles, recorded the beautiful piano track for Grammy-winning composer and conductor Eric Whitacre on his incredibly moving original composition “Sing Gently.” Whitacre, one of the world’s most performed composers, brought together 17,572 singers from 129 countries, aged 5–88, who sang, recorded, and submitted their videos to be combined to form Virtual Choir 6. It premiered on Youtube on July 19, 2020 and is currently trending in the top 40 videos. With so many singers, there was only one piano player! We are immensely proud of Sam and his incredible musical accomplishments!
