Adam Rider ’02

Founder of volunteer-based organization provides essential supplies to COVID-19
Adam Rider ’02 has been working in the disaster relief nonprofit area for the past 6 months. He was deployed to the Bahamas immediately after hurricane Dorian and found his true calling in helping others. Now, Adam’s volunteer-based organization, Flatten The Curve NGO, provides much-needed protective equipment and supplies to first and frontline responders. In the first week of operation, they supplied the LAFD and LAPD with almost 1,500 gallons of disinfectant spray, masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and almost 2,000 disinfecting towels to wipe down police cruisers, fire trucks, and ambulances. His organization also brings food and essential supplies right to the doors of individuals and families in Greater Los Angeles and Orange County who are sick with COVID-19. By providing these services and supplies, Adam hopes, as his organization’s name suggests, that he can help flatten the curve. Adam was recently profiled on Spectrum News.
