#CHTeacherTuesday

Gabrielle Ferrer '01, Secondary Visual Arts
Subject(s) You Teach/Title/Department:
Ceramics, Printmaking, Animation / Visual Arts

How long have you been a teacher?
14 years (I started teaching in a Montessori preschool classroom right after undergrad)

How long have you been teaching at Campbell Hall?
This is my 5th year. Time flies!

What makes CH so special?
It's a hard question that I think about a lot! I am a 13 year student, and so are my 3 siblings. I've found that it's hard to separate myself from this place because so much of my life has taken place on this campus. I think what makes it special is a strong sense of community and really good people.

What do you love to do outside of school/what are your hobbies?
I work on art in my studio on nights and weekends and throughout any school breaks. I am also in a band, I play keyboard and sing sometimes, and we practice every week and play shows every now and then. That pretty much fills my time, but I also go see art, go see bands, see a ton of movies, take walks around the Silver Lake reservoir, and I hang out with friends and my cat.
