Start-up powers phones to keep people connected
Co-founder and CEO of Hoplite Power, Jordan Mayerson ’07 created a network of kiosks across New York City that, for a small fee, allows the user to rent a smartphone portable battery pack. Utilizing on-demand and sharing services models, Hoplite Power "Hubs" dispense, re-accept, and automatically recharge Hoplites, which are ergonomically-designed, universal battery packs.

Prior to founding Hoplite Power, Jordan was an investment banker with Guggenheim Securities and Goldman Sachs. He has degrees in finance from the Wharton School and in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania.
