#CHTeacherTuesday

Tana Ratnavale / Middle School Teacher
What subject do you teach?
Middle School Math

How long have you been a teacher?
This will be my 17th year teaching – most of those years were in Middle School or High School.

How long have you been teaching at Campbell Hall?
This is my fourth year with Campbell Hall.

What makes CH so special?
I love that when I am on campus, I am not only able to be myself, but am encouraged to do so in a way that lets me foster genuine bonds with my students, rather than just being a figurehead teacher.

What inspires you?
I am really empowered by my inner circle – that’s my husband, two twins, immediate family and a few select friends. While I am not someone who is an extrovert or who has a large, expansive social network, I concentrate my love for what I do into my dedication to all my many students and my role as their teacher. When I see the students repay that dedication or pay forward the hard work that I’ve put into our relationship, it inspires me to continue to grow and find new ways to strengthen those bonds – both inside and outside of the Algebra classroom!
