Assistant Principal of High School Publishes Scholarly Book

Assistant Principal of High School Tiffani Kocsis, Ed.D recently published A Critical Analysis of Sexuality Education in the United States, an insightful book that examines the ways in which curricula fails to equip students with the knowledge and understanding they need to be empowered about their sexuality. Dr. Koscis advocates an inclusive, rights-based approach to education: “I feel strongly that we need to find ways to elevate the importance of adolescent sexuality as a core tenet of their healthy development. Gender identity, sexual identity, sexual preference, race, economics, love, health, communication, law, religion, social structures – they all intertwine as students develop an understanding of their personhood and how they interact with the world around them."
