Christine began teaching in 2006 at Loyola Marymount University where she was also a research assistant. Prior to joining Campbell Hall in 2009, she taught and was a research assistant at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Christine’s article titled "The Impact of Portfolio Based Performance Assessments on the Development of Preservice Literacy Teacher Reflection" was published in the scholarly book Reform and Literacy Education: History, Effects, and Advocacy. She has also presented at numerous conferences and forums including The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), Conference of College Composition and Communication (CCCC), The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), among many others. Christine holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts, an M.A. in Rhetoric and Composition from Loyola Marymount University, and a PhD in Language, Literacy and Composition from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
