Jason Lee Bruns

Recording Arts + Production Program Director
Jason began teaching with USC Jazz Reach, A Place Called Home, and L.A.’s Best. Prior to joining Campbell Hall in 2004, he taught band drum lines and private drum lessons. Jason is a Voting Member of the Grammy Awards, a published author for the Percussive Arts Society, and performs regularly at L.A's top jazz venues including Vibrato, Catalina Jazz Club, and "Jazz at LACMA". He has toured Japan twice with his own 8-piece crossover jazz ensemble. Jason has two self-produced albums that were on top-10 jazz charts, played on 300+ radio stations, and heard on L.A's local KKJZ 88.1FM. He travels the world transcribing folkloric rhythms. Jason is the Founding Director of Campbell Hall's Recording Arts & Production programs, World Drumming Ensembles, and Steel Bands. Jason holds a B.M. in Percussion Performance from Miami University, M.M in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California, and received a Master's Certificate in Music Production from Berklee. Jason is also an AVID-Certified ProTools Instructor.
