Junior Curators

Each year, roughly 15 high school students become Junior Curators for the Campbell Hall Gallery and together they produce five exhibits a year—two exhibits showcasing student work and three exhibits featuring work from professional artists.
The Junior Curators are responsible for running the Campbell Hall Art Gallery and Screening Room, learning the business of promoting artwork, installing multi-media art exhibitions, creating publications about exhibitions, and communicating about art to the Campbell Hall Community in various media on campus. Junior Curators have the opportunity to work directly with professional artists who exhibit in the gallery determining and discussing exhibition strategies as the shows are installed, learning directly from artists about the works exhibited in the gallery. In addition, the Junior Curators help to produce Lecture Series which are an evening platform for leading artistic professionals to lecture in the gallery to the Campbell Hall community.
