Family Connection is the web-based computer program that functions as an online interface between college counselors, students, and parents. It is a critical and interactive tool that helps counselors manage the application process. Students use this tool to begin their college research by utilizing a document library of resources designed by counselors. Students also maintain a list of colleges in which they are interested and to which they will apply, as well as provide information to college counselors about their Campbell Hall experiences and extracurricular interests.
Students and parents also benefit from the program’s tools, including scattergrams that graphically illustrate the potential admissibility of the student in relation to past Campbell Hall applicants. The extensive capabilities of this online program require education along the way. We introduce the program to freshmen and sophomores and provide access to them on an as requested basis. Junior and senior families are required to have accounts, and we educate parents and students on how to put the information it provides into context.
