Summer Programs 2010 @ Campbell Hall

Summer is an exciting time on our campus as we host a variety of camps, classes, and programs to appeal to the varied interests of all children. Whether your child is an athlete, an entertainer, a chess enthusiast, or just looking for a new academic challenge, Campbell Hall’s summer offerings are sure to provide each participant with a rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Our Championship Sports Camps provide students, in 1st through 8th grade, an opportunity to develop skills that will serve as a foundation for their future growth in sports. Sports camps are available for students interested in: baseball, basketball, cheerleading, tackle and flag football, recreational games, soccer, softball, and volleyball.

The CAPS (Creative Arts Program in the Summer) Program provides students, ages 5-13, who are interested in the visual and performing arts an in-depth course of study designed to encourage children to develop their creative potential, confidence and self-discipline.

The Tournament Chess Camp is designed to help player of all levels, grades 1-8, cultivate their chess skills, expand upon their existing knowledge of the game, and gain greater confidence as players.

Movies by Kids: Campbell Hall is pleased to host Movies by Kids, a creative program designed for teaching young students (ages 7-12) the exciting process of movie making and animation. This summer’s offerings include courses in animation, claymation, and Lego animation. For more information about these classes, or to register, please visit the Movies by Kids website.

Our Summer Academic classes and workshops offer Junior High and High School students and opportunity to keep their minds engaged over the summer, enhance their skills and knowledge base, fulfill certain course requirements, and even move ahead in a particular discipline. Classes offered this summer include:

  • Algebra I part two (for rising 10th & 11th graders)
  • Algebra I Review (for rising 10th & 11th graders)
  • Art History (for rising 11th & 12th graders)
  • Filmaking (for rising 8th -10th graders)
  • Figure Drawing (for rising 10th – 12th graders)
  • Geometry (for rising 9th graders)
  • Introduction to Artmaking (for rising 8th & 9th graders)
  • Music History (for rising 11th & 12th graders)
  • College Boot Camp (for rising 12th graders)
  • We also offer rising 7th graders an opportunity to participate in our QuickStart Program, which gives students an advanced look at the Junior High.
