Tournament Chess Camp

The Tournament Chess Camp, for boys and girls entering grades 1-8 in September 2008, will be offered for two sessions this summer, July 7-11 and July 28-August 1.  The camp is designed to help players of all levels cultivate their chess skills, expand upon their existing knowledge of the game, and gain greater confidence as players.  Throughout the week, players will review the basics of the game, including rules, the history of chess, terminology, and etiquette, while also working towards mastering opening principles and developing end-game strategies.  All campers will also have the opportunity to participate in friendly tournaments with prizes for all.

The Chess Camp will be run by experienced chess players and Campbell Hall teachers: Joe Clarke, Wes Radulovich and Jim Whiting

Program Cost: $250 per week

*Camp runs from 9:00am to 1:00pm, Monday through Friday. An extended day option is available until 5:00pm for an additional fee. Contact Freedom McCullough at (818) 355-2360 for more information about the Extended Day program.
