Registration for Session #4 begins March 15. Due to the continued high demand, we have added an extra day of Story Theater (Grades K-1) and Improvisation (Grades 2-3). Please e-mail Megan Adell at adellm@campbellhall.org if you have any questions.

Story Theatre for Kindergarten and 1st grade
Mondays 2:30-3:30pm (7-week session: 4/08-6/03) - $235
Wednesdays 2:30-3:30pm (8-week session: 4/10-6/05) - $265
Each week, students will hear a story read to them, discuss the main theme, select the characters they want to play, then proceed to act out the entire story using their own words. Additionally, students will be introduced to beginning vocal and physical warm-ups, as well as age appropriate theater games. The games will focus on teaching children how to use their voices, bodies and imaginations to create characters, settings and situations on stage.  (Session 4 is only available to students who have taken a minimum of one session of Story Theatre previously.)There will be a Mini-Show on the last day of the session!

Improvisation for 2nd-3rd grade
Tuesdays 2:45-3:45pm (8-week session: 4/09-6/04) - $265
Thursdays 2:45-3:45pm (8-week session: 4/11-6/06) - $265
Through mostly comedic improvisations and improvisation games, students will take initiative and instantaneously create colorful characters, settings and dialogue. They will also practice the "give and take" of stage work, learning that an actor must listen and work with the other actors on stage, while at the same time, developing their own stage presence. The goal of the class is to encourage each child to have fun discovering their own inherent talent, expression, and sense of humor! (Session 4 is only available to students who have taken a minimum of one session of Improvisation previously.)There will be an Open House on the last day of the session!

Improvisation class for 4th, 5th, & 6th grade
Fridays 1:45-2:45pm (8-week session: 4/12-5/31) - $265
This course will focus on comedic and dramatic improvisations, and will be geared toward encouraging students to fully commit to their creative choices and to take leadership opportunities. The more advanced warm-ups, as well as the games and exercises, will aid in a greater focus on the individual (while continuing with group work). The class offers a very fun and safe place where students experience the joy of learning about who they are as unique, distinctive artists. (Session 4 is only available to students who have taken a minimum of one session of Improvisation previously.)
