Charitable Giving
As an independent school, Campbell Hall thrives because of the generosity of the community. Families and friends, faculty and staff, the Board of Directors, alumni and grandparents, foundations and corporations, are all integral to the success of the institution.
A CH education is funded by tuition and charitable gifts. Since 1944, the spirit of generosity has provided financial support which has empowered the school to develop impressive campus resources and dynamic programs.
Annual Fund
Gifts to the Annual Fund make the difference between a strong program and an extraordinary one. Independent schools rely on the spirit of philanthropy when developing their financial projections. The goal is for every family to participate at a level that is comfortable – whether that be $100 or $100,000. Every family has the opportunity to be part of the program, to feel that extra sense of community. Annual Fund gifts enrich every aspect of student life, from the arts to humanities, from the laboratory to the athletic field, from financial aid to faculty and staff professional development, from the gymnasiums to technology and more, enabling the school to offer innovative new programs.

The Capital Campaign for the Arts and Education Center
Whereas the Annual Fund is necessary for the ongoing day-to-day wellbeing of the institution, and Endowment ensures the future, Capital Campaigns are tailored to fund specific major projects, for example, construction of facilities. Contact the Advancement Office for more information about current capital gift opportunities.
Endowment Fund
Campbell Hall's ultimate goal is to be able to support everyone who is admitted regardless of the family's ability to pay. Endowment is crucial to the well being and security of Campbell Hall's mission, and enables the school to:
- Create broader socioeconomic diversity;
- Emphasize affordability (for retention as well as recruitment);
- Begin building towards a sliding-scale model of tuition assistance;
- Recruit middle income families;
- Recruit students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds;
- Begin diversity recruitment in elementary so that the diverse culture of the school grows naturally;
- Reserve a portion of the financial aid budget for emergencies that may arise during the year;
- Expand the Weingart Fund which helps students meet expenses for non-tuition items, e.g. letterman jacket, environmental education trips, etc.
- Remain confident that the quality of the school and its students will not change in time of economic downturns and demographic shifts.
