Diversity Leadership Team

We are excited to announce the creation of the Campbell Hall Diversity Leadership Team this year, led by our Director of Diversity and the three newly appointed division-specific Diversity Coordinators below. The Division Diversity Coordinators are full-time faculty members, who will be helping to implement and coordinate diversity initiatives in their respective divisions:

Rosa Dominguez is in her fourth year as our Director of Diversity. Rosa first joined the Campbell Hall community in 2004 as a High School Science faculty member. She continues to teach one section of Marine Science and this year will also be teaching a newly created elective course, Multiculturalism and Leadership, open to 10th-12th graders. Rosa holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences, B.A. in Spanish Literature and a M.A. in Education from Stanford University.

Lonnie Ngo is serving as the Elementary school’s first Diversity Coordinator, in addition to entering her second year of teaching 5th grade Social Studies/Language Arts.  She has earned an M.A. in Child & Adolescent Literacy from Loyola Marymount University, School of Education and a B.A. in Communication Studies and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from UCLA.  Lonnie’s student teaching experience took place in downtown and East LA urban public schools, working with racially, culturally, and linguistically diverse students. Prior to joining Campbell Hall, Lonnie was a 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade Head Teacher at Laurence School in Valley Glen, CA.

Andrea Turner is serving as the Junior High's first Diversity Coordinator.  This is her fourth year as a full time faculty member at Campbell Hall.  She will continue teaching 7th grade American History and Government and co-teaching the Viking News Network pull-out class for 7th and 8th graders.  Andrea holds a B.A. in Screen Arts and Cultures from the University of Michigan.  Before coming to Campbell Hall, Andrea taught creative writing to at-risk youth in Detroit, MI, alongside her husband and fellow CH JH faculty member, David Turner.

David Watts is joining the Diversity Leadership Team this year as the High School Diversity Coordinator. Entering his third year at CH, in addition to his duties as a High School Community Service Director and Student Activities Coordinator, David also serves as the faculty mentor for the African American male affinity group in the secondary school. David holds a Masters of Education in Academic and Athletic Achievement and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies both from the University of California at Berkeley.
