Pet Orphans Fund
Pet Care and Education
The Pet Orphans Fund is an organization committed to the humane education of animal owners as a response to the 128,000 healthy animals which are euthanized in Los Angeles area shelters each year. Through education people can learn that the responsibility of pet owners toward their animals includes spaying or neutering, medical care when needed, and a lifetime commitment to their care.
Pet Orphans Fund has developed a comprehensive Humane Education program to target public and private school, Boys and Girls Clubs, Boy and Girl Scouts, church groups, as well as adult community service organizations such as Rotary, Kiwanis, and many others.
The Fund believes that the way children care for their pets transfers to the way they will care for their children as adults.
