Music in the Schools
Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation (MHOF), named after the movie Mr. Holland's Opus, supports music education and its many benefits through the donation of new and refurbished musical instruments to underserved school and community music programs and individual students nationwide.
To date, MNOF has donated $5.2 million worth of new and refurbished instruments to 752 music programs and individuals across the country. A few years ago, MHOF served 92 schools in six states affected by hurricane Katrina and will continue to support the rebuilding of music programs for children and communities all over the country.
