Charitable Contributions

As an independent school, Campbell Hall exists because of the generosity of parents and friends. A Campbell Hall education is funded with tuition and charitable gifts. Since 1944, families have enriched the educational opportunities with their support. Most recently, the school community completed a $5 million capital campaign to construct The Academic Center and The Ahmanson Library, a state-of-the-art learning and research complex.

Parents are asked to support Campbell Hall with the donation of volunteer and charitable gifts. Each year, families are invited to make a contribution to the school’s Annual Fund which enables Campbell Hall to continue to maintain challenging and innovative programs, to enhance educational facilities, and to refine classroom curriculum.

Personal phone calls are made by parent volunteers to help explain the school’s charitable giving program and to seek support. Contributions are encouraged at a level that is personally generous. Gifts of all sizes are appreciated and accepted with enthusiasm. Campbell Hall also benefits from the proceeds of an annual dinner and auction, known as the Bagpiper’s Ball, and an annual golf tournament. Participation is encouraged and welcomed in these wonderful events which are organized by committees of parent volunteers through the Parent Teacher Council.

Gifts to the school are made by individuals including parents, members of the Board of Directors, alumni parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends. Additionally, Campbell Hall appreciates the support that has been offered by private foundations. Each and every gift enhances school programs and facilities and directly benefits the educational environment of the campus. Contributions are recognized in the Annual Report. Gifts take several forms, including cash, securities and real property. The school has a complete planned giving program and welcomes gifts in the form of annuities, charitable remainder trusts, insurance gifts, pooled income funds, etc. Questions regarding planned giving should be referred to the Director of Development.
