Applying to Campbell Hall

Thank you for your interest in applying to Campbell Hall.

The application deadline has passed.  Late applications may be considered after the regular admissions process has been completed. If we find that we are fully enrolled, late applicants will have the option to roll over the application to the 2018-2019 admissions season.

Step 1: Apply Online

Complete an online application. The non-refundable application fee of $135 must be charged using a credit card. Please submit your application early to secure an interview appointment. Please note: Kindergarten applicants must be five years old by September 1 of the entering year.

The application due date for Kindergarten is January 13, 2017 and for grades 1-12 is December 15, 2016. 

Step 2: Schedule an Interview

After you have submitted your application, you will receive an email inviting you to select a date and time for your family interview. These 45 minute interviews include the applicant as well as parent(s)/guardian(s). We also offer the option of a short campus tour during your interview. We strongly recommend that you schedule an interview appointment as soon as possible.

Step 3: Evaluation and Testing

Applying to Kindergarten

  • Readiness Assessment: All kindergarten applicants will be given a short tour and a readiness assessment by a Kindergarten Consultant on the day of the interview. Parent(s)/guardian(s) will be given a short school tour with the Associate Director of Admissions during this time.
  • Mini-day: Kindergarten applicants also participate in an hour long mini-day. They will be socializing with other students, listening and responding to a story and a song, and participating in choice play time. Mini-days take place on specific Saturdays from October through January. Included in the email about interview scheduling, you will also receive instructions on how to schedule a Mini-day.

Applying to Grades 1-4

  • Testing takes place on the Campbell Hall campus. Included in the email about interview scheduling, you will also receive instructions on how to schedule elementary testing.

Applying to Grades 5-6

  • Applicants for grades 5-6 must take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE). You may register online at www.iseetest.org, or by mail. Request that student score reports be sent to Campbell Hall (School Code: 052133). Applicants must submit the ISEE  scores by January 9, 2017. If your students opts to take the ISEEs more than once, Campbell Hall requires that you submit all scores by January 9, 2017.

Step 4: Recommendation Form

The online application will allow for recommendations to be submitted electronically if you provide the recommenders’ email addresses. The progress of electronic submissions can be tracked through the application portal. If your school would prefer a printed copy instead, please click here  to download the recommendation form.

Campbell Hall must receive the recommendation forms by January 20, 2017.

Applying to Kindergarten

  • One Preschool Evaluation Form from applicant's current pre-school teacher 
  • One Administrator Recommendation Form from applicant’s current pre-school director.

Applying to Grade 1

  • One confidential Teacher Recommendation Form from applicant’s current teacher.
  • One Administrator Recommendation Form from a current school administrator who is familiar with the applicant.

Applying to Grades 2-4

  • Two confidential Teacher Recommendation Forms from the applicant’s current teacher. If the student has one teacher, the second recommendation may be from an academic teacher who has taught the applicant during the past two years.
  • One Administrator Recommendation Form from a current school administrator who is familiar with the applicant.

Applying to Grades 5-6

  • Two confidential Teacher Recommendation Forms from the applicant’s current English and Math teachers. If the student has one teacher, the second recommendation may be from an academic teacher who has taught the applicant during the past two years.
  • One Administrator Recommendation Form from a current school administrator who is familiar with the applicant. 

Step 5: Transcript/Report Card

Please send a signed Transcript Release Form to the school or schools from which you will be requesting an “official” transcript.

Applying to Grade 1

  • A first semester or trimester report card from the current academic year is required.

Applying to Grades 2

  • Transcripts should include applicant’s grades from the preceding school year. Please also submit the results of any standardized tests. A first semester or trimester report card from the current academic year is required.

Applying to Grades 3-6

  • Transcripts should include applicant’s grades from the preceding two school years. Please also submit the results of any standardized tests. A first semester or trimester report card from the current academic year is required.
