Honors and Awards
The Elementary Awards of Recognition Assembly recognizes achievement in Wordmasters, Continental Math League, and the Presidential Physical Fitness standards. 6th Grade recipients of the Headmaster’s Award, the Mildred E. Hawks Award, and the Mary Kent Award are selected by intermediate school faculty and are also presented at this assembly.

Mildred E. Hawks Award - Named in honor of our founding principal, Miss Hawks, this award recognizes a student (or students) who demonstrates excellent citizenship, support for other students, and is helpful, kind and honest.

Mary Kent Award - Named in honor of Mrs. Kent, who served as School Secretary beginning in 1956, this award recognizes a student council member who demonstrates strong leadership, loyalty and commitment to school service, as well as excellent citizenship and work habits in the classroom.
