College Counseling Staff
The college counseling staff includes three full-time individuals who collectively have over 35 years in the field, including in college admissions. Each staff member participates in ongoing professional development including attending and presenting at the National Association of College Admission Counseling and the Western Association of College Admission Counseling conferences. Additionally, staff members continue to visit a number of colleges and universities throughout the year to increase their awareness of the variety of options. The college counseling staff and headmaster Julian Bull nurture professional and personal relationships with college admissions staff members across the country.
John Corona - Director of College Counseling

John Corona began at Campbell Hall in 2006 as Director of College Counseling. He received his B.A. in Communications from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. After graduating from Southwestern, John worked in the admission office at Gettysburg College for six years and then at Colgate University for six additional years. He has been involved in all aspects of college admissions including interviewing prospective students, reading applications, serving on admission committees, and making final admission decisions. In addition to directing the college counseling program, John also is one of the faculty advisors to the Gay Straight Alliance and the Gaming Club. His prior volunteer efforts as a helpline counselor with The Trevor Project also contribute to his ability to support and counsel students.

Kris Ragland has worked in various capacities at Campbell Hall for 35 years. She received her B.A. in Physical Education and German at Cal State Northridge, and completed her Secondary Teaching Credential in 1971. After teaching many academic classes and serving as Athletic Director for 20 years, she completed her Master’s Degree at Cal Lutheran in Curriculum and Instruction and enrolled in UCLA’s College Counseling Certificate Program. Kris won the Steve Hankins Award from the Western Association of College Admissions Counselors her second year as a college counselor and has read applications for UCLA. She now serves as Senior Associate Director of College Counseling.
Elisa Sagardia – College Counselor

Elisa Sagardia received her BA in Psychology from UCLA and went on to earn her MA in School Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential. She began her work in high school counseling serving as a guidance counselor, Advanced Studies coordinator, and testing coordinator. She transitioned to the role of college counselor in 2007.She served as a mentor to students in School Counseling programs at USC, Cal Lutheran, and the University of La Verne. Prior to her work as a counselor, Ms. Sagardia enjoyed a successful career in musical theatre. She traveled extensively in numerous national tours and also performed on Broadway. She has found true fulfillment in her work as a college counselor and is thrilled to be a part of the Campbell Hall family.
